Our Story
Michelle and Calvin’s story began back in 2009 when they were in college and happened to be taking Japanese classes together. To Michelle, Calvin was the guy who always skipped classes but had good Japanese. And to Calvin, Michelle was the cute girl who always seemed to walk into class late.
Michelle and Calvin got to know each other better after she was invited to Calvin’s birthday party. Over the next several months, they discovered a mutual love for Japanese culture, the creative arts, and foodie adventures. After graduation, she moved to Southern California to pursue her optometry degree. He followed her and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
8 years of memories and 1 fur baby later, Calvin finally popped the question in an elaborate “art gallery” themed surprise proposal that showcased their memories together over the years. Their wedding has been almost a decade in the making and they can’t wait to celebrate their special day with you!
